PBRC connects to your existing operational systems, gathering service data to support real- time hospital billing, and automating the billing process. Eastern Health has worked with PowerHealth to launch the first implementation of PBRC Mobile, a tool which provides the functionality required to capture billing details on the move, with a simple click and approve process.

Project Outcomes include;

PowerHealth, developer of market leading healthcare finance products, has signed an agreement with Te Whatu Ora to implement PowerPerformance Manager throughout the whole South Island, New Zealand.

Karl Rivett, Te Whatu Ora – Southern, noted “The project started as a costing tender from the old Southern District Health Board (SDHB) in 2021, as part of our digital transformation to increase the digital maturity of the organisation and improve the way in which patient care is provided. With the transformation of the New Zealand Health system coming into effect in July 2022 forming Te Whatu Ora we recognised there was a greater opportunity to consolidate our costing systems, which would allow analysis beyond a single health service costs, to benchmarking and analytics across the whole of region”.

Costing in the acute setting has been happening for decades with significant electronic patient level data and a wide array of cost drivers available.

The long term / aged care setting, however, has suffered from a lack of electronically captured activity data, appropriate Cost Drivers and, whilst interventions are recorded in Resident notes and on Care Plans, this information is not available electronically

A new partnership between Contact Harald and PowerHealth is allowing the long term/ aged care setting to make use of the latest technology to understand true costs by resident, allowing accurate reviews, scenario planning and forecasting against future funding models.

The Bahrain Government Hospitals have signed a cooperation agreement with PowerHealth to develop an integrated system to manage the revenue cycle of its government hospitals.

The five-year agreement will see the implementation of PowerHealth’s Revenue Cycle Management service (PowerRCM), supported by its core billing application PowerBilling & Revenue Collection (PBRC).

Eastern Health has completed their ambitious project to streamline their billing processes, replacing 16 billing systems with one enterprise wide billing system, PowerHealth’s Power Billing and Revenue Collection (PBRC), bringing positive change for both patients and staff.

Marina Hocking, Project Manager, Single Billing System Project, Eastern Health noted “The Single Billing System Project was established to govern 5 streams of work, covering system consolidation as well as business transformation. It has been a ground-breaking journey and certainly worth the effort. Improvements in patient experience were a major focus of the project, along with increases in revenue capture and improved operational efficiency and it’s great to see these outcomes are being achieved”.
