Alfred Health Moves to Enhance Clinical Costing
Media Release - July 2022
PowerHealth, Adelaide developer of market-leading healthcare software, will strengthen their relationship with one of Victoria’s leading healthcare providers, Alfred Health, after being awarded their Tender for Provision of Clinical Costing Software.
Brett Michael, Director, PowerHealth, said, “In a year that has presented all of us with ongoing challenges, digital transformation has proven more than ever to play a significant role in improving healthcare and it is exciting to see Alfred Health taking a lead in this space.”
“Healthcare institutions need to have the confidence that their costing data is credible, transparent, easy to understand, and provided in a timely manner to support agile decision making,” Mr Michael said.
The entirely new release of PowerPerformance Manager (PPM3) offers hospitals the greatest costing and analytics functionality available worldwide. It focusses on integration, visualisation, allocation methodologies, benchmarking (including IHPA, HRT, across jurisdiction, and within system) and easy provisioning of the solution via the cloud - all important tools to support agile decision making.
PowerHealth has dedicated significant resources to building expanded data visualisation features within PPM3, all delivered inside the product, exactly where needed when configuring or analysing costs. It includes a refined interface and expanded visual library with over 20 different types of visualisation components including 3D Heat Maps, Charts, Trend Lines, Queries and Timelines, to ensure all sites can personalise their dashboards and reporting to their specific needs to get the most out of the rich data PPM makes available.
PPM3 will also allow customers to access the PowerAnalytics module, a new analytics and benchmarking digital health solution which enables healthcare organisations to identify and analyse linkages between their data sets and systems to make better and faster decisions. The Telstra Health and PowerHealth solution is designed to leverage the PowerHealth PPM data set to accelerate deployment and the delivery of actionable insights for customers, and will be made available to PPM3 customers later this month.
“COVID-19 has exacerbated the complexity for providers associated with managing access to care, cost of care and quality of care. PPM3 has been developed with an emphasis on delivering timely information and analytics to assist providers with a comprehensive performance reporting solution, supporting customers to extract value from complex data sets and enable peer to peer benchmarking against normalised data and KPIs,” Mr Michael said.
“Alfred Health chose PowerPerformance Manager as it met their goal of moving to a cloud-based system and for its advanced costing functionality, which can provide automated and detailed costing information throughout the organisation, freeing up time to allow more detailed analysis of the results.
“The challenges of Covid have highlighted that delivering success not only relies on great products, but also strong relationships and we are delighted to strengthen our long-standing partnership with Alfred Health," Mr Michael said.
