PowerHealth conducts Costing Workshops at PCSI Helsinki

Patient Classifications Systems International is an international organisation dedicated to addressing casemix issues. Their annual conference brings together researchers and casemix users worldwide, from health administrations, government agencies, and academia.

This year, the 2013 PCSI conference was held in the city of Helsinki, Finland from 18-21 September 2013. The conference was themed Transparency in Health Care, with the subthemes of Primary Care, Cost Accounting and Structural Reform in Health Care.

PowerHealth Solutions is a long time active participant at these conferences, and this year ran 2 workshops:

• Patient Costing ― everything you need to know
• Using a business intelligence tool to interrogate and analyse patient costing data.

Both workshops were conducted by PHS Director of European Operations Nigel Michell, who was assisted by Managing Director Patrick Power, who are both regular guest lecturers at the PCSI Casemix Winter and Summer Schools.
