PPM Mobile Privacy Policy

PowerHealth Solutions is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage the data we collect with PPM Mobile.

What is PPM Mobile and what does it collect?

If you are participating in a PPM Mobile study it is because it has been requested by your employer.

PPM Mobile is used to determine the amount of time that various categories of employees (Nursing, Carers, Cleaning Staff, etc) spend with patients in an effort to improve the way that costs are allocated by Power Performance Manager (PPM).

In order to do this an iOS device is assigned to you and kept on your person throughout your shift. Bluetooth Beacons are deployed around the facility, each with a unique number – the iOS device records how long your device spends at each beacon as a proxy for time at the bedside.

The data collected for these studies is non-identifying and only comprises:

• The beacon number
• How long your device was near it
• The start and end timestamps of the event
• The role that you scanned when you first picked up the iOS device
• A device ID that is generated by PPM Mobile and unrelated to any other identifier on the device and used only to determine how many individual devices of each Role were deployed for an individual shift

This information is transmitted to the PPM Mobile server where it is aggregated as required by the users conducting the study.

Security of PPM Mobile Information

Even though the PPM Mobile information isn’t personal or able to identify you individually, it is still stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

When the study data is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to delete all instances of the data.
