The Critical Need for Agile Costing During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis for our healthcare system. Accurately capturing data and documenting cases of the novel coronavirus can help ease the burden on providers.

Recognising this need, PowerHealth, Adelaide developer of market-leading healthcare software, are establishing a question and answer session for the healthcare costing community.

The first session to be conducted will be next month, with a call for questions currently open.

We are seeking to assist our community with costing information that will help them navigate the unique requirements presented by the COVID-19 crisis ”.

The first session to be conducted by PowerHealth will be a Costing Q&A session with industry costing expert, Garth Barnett. This session will be prerecorded and sent directly to registrant’s inboxes, so they can listen at their convenience. 

Patrick Power noted, “The current crisis is reinforcing the importance of having a costing system which is able to provide accurate and agile reporting. The significance being placed on these capabilities has been demonstrated by being awarded the project to implement a network wide costing system for one of Australia’s leading private healthcare providers”.

“Healthcare institutions need to have the confidence that their costing data is credible, transparent, easy to understand, and provided in a timely manner to support agile decision making”.
