ADELAIDE, SA —PowerHealth Solutions, Adelaide based developer of market leading healthcare products, is proud to be the major local sponsor of the City of Onkaparinga Tennis Challenger when it returns to Adelaide in January 2017.

Patrick Power, Managing Director of PowerHealth Solutions, welcomes the opportunity to support up-and-coming tennis players in this prestigious event, which is one of the longest standing Australian Pro Tour events in South Australia. As well as placing South Australia on the world stage, the Challenger event provides locals the opportunity to see some world-class tennis action, right on their doorstep.
Tennis SA and Tennis Australia, in conjunction with the City of Onkaparinga and Happy Valley Tennis Club, will host the City of Onkaparinga Tennis Challenger from Saturday 31 December 2016 to Sunday 8 January 2017.
“The Happy Valley Tennis Club is proud to have PowerHealth Solutions as a Platinum Sponsor for the third year of the Tennis Challenger tournament. Offering $US 75,000 in prize money and significant world ranking points, the tournament has cemented its place on the Australian Pro Tour calendar over the past two years. Today’s top players, such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Thomaz Bellucci, have all played in the ATP Challenger Tours, which, in turn, have launched their careers onto the ATP World Tour.
In the past, the event has attracted the likes of former world No.8 Marcos Baghdatis (CYP), fan-favourite Ryan Harrison (USA), 20-time Challenger Tour champion Dudi Sela (ISR) and former world No.1 junior Taylor Fritz (USA).
The City of Onkaparinga Tennis Challenger will form a major part of South Australia’s World Tennis Challenge (WTC) Be Active Challenge, set to take place throughout January.
