PowerHealth Solutions is proud to be a corporate sponsor for the Western Health Community Race Day to be held at the Flemington Racecourse on Saturday 13th December 2014.

The Western Health Community Race Day is the Melbourne metropolitan public health service’s flagship fundraising event and 2014 marks the ninth year of this race.

The event is run by the Western Health Foundation to raise funds for enhancing the healthcare in Melbourne’s west through the purchase of equipment, funding of medical research, and provision of scholarships for staff. The proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the Sunshine Kids Appeal Program.

PowerHealth Solutions has a close working relationship with Western Health through the implementation of their PowerPerformance Manager (PPM) system for monitoring and reporting on healthcare costing and activity based funding.

PowerHealth Solutions has a strong social awareness policy and fosters a company culture that gives back to the community by routinely supporting a wide range of charitable endeavours. The company is very pleased to support the Western Health Foundation’s work in enhancing public healthcare.

About Western Health Foundation

The Western Health Foundation is the charitable arm of the Western Health public health service in Victoria, Australia. It is dedicated to raising funds to purchase additional hospital equipment and facilities to ensure better care in Melbourne’s west. Projects undertaken by the Foundation include updating equipment and facilities in the Children’s Ward at Sunshine Hospital, upgrading the relatives’ waiting area at the Western Hospital Intensive Care Unit, as well as helping breast cancer patients with equipment purchases and taxi vouchers for clinic attendance.
