Daryl Stillwell — Chairman

Daryl brings to PowerHealth his extensive skills in corporate governance, building business growth, strategic and corporate planning, leadership and management, organisational psychology, sales and marketing, new product development and general management consulting.

Patrick Power — Managing Director

Patrick is the founding Director of PowerHealth with over 24 years of healthcare experience specialising in the areas of activity-based funding, patient billing and patient costing and Casemix reporting.

Vision and Culture

With extensive healthcare industry knowledge, as well as technical and business skills in information technology and project management, Patrick's vision motivates the company to develop, implement and support business improvement solutions for hospitals through innovative technology.

Patrick has set up a successful company culture that attracts and retains high calibre staff, promoting employee professional development and well-being. The company maintains a focus on community and charity with staff contributing financially as well as through time and effort.

Major Achievements

In 2014, Patrick oversaw the expansion of PowerHealth into the Middle East and Ireland, with the implementation of PowerHealth products into those countries.

In Australia, PowerHealth now has 15 statewide contracts and Patrick has overseen each of these major patient billing and patient costing implementations. Overseas, Patrick has worked in several countries, assisting primarily with the implementation of patient costing and activity-based funding.

Designer of the award-winning PowerPerformance Manager, which has since become the standard in Australia, Patrick is an authority on healthcare funding and quality. He regularly presents at conferences and is published in industry journals.

Qualifications and Membership

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Certificate in Accounting, winner of 2014 Industry Leaders Fund grant to attend Harvard Business School, winner of 2012 Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Australian Central Region).


Barry Smith — Non-Executive Director

Barry brings to PowerHealth his experience in strategic planning, governance and risk management at a corporate level, as well as assisting businesses through the provision of market-oriented and practical financial advice.

Current Roles

Executive Director of Baron Partners Ltd, a licensed independent company that provides business advice about mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring, and strategic transaction advice. Independent Member of the Audit Committee for the City of Prospect.

Nick Hakof — Non-Executive Director

Nick brings to PowerHealth a high level of leadership, strategic management and governance skills and experience coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing the provision of health services.

Deputy Chairman Flinders Medical Centre, CEO of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, General Manager Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, CEO of the North Western Adelaide Health Service, Director in the Health Consulting Practice of Coopers and Lybrand.

Marc Makrid — Non-Executive Director

Marc Makrid brings to PowerHealth his skills in marketing and business development strategy, organisation culture, executive mentoring and coaching, as well as his extensive experience serving on many organisation boards.

Amanda Anderson - Chief Operations Officer & Company Secretary

Amanda heads up the PowerHealth Operations Division with Finance, Quality, Sales & Marketing, Technical Writing, Administration, Human Resources and Infrastructure teams reporting to her. Amanda is responsible for all aspects of general operations, including finance, legal, expansion, processes, and growth management.

Amanda also performs the role of Company Secretary, providing a direct link to the Board of Directors. She is responsible for oversight of the international subsidiaries in Canada, Ireland, UK, Hong Kong and New Zealand, and is heavily involved in the company's strategic direction.

Major Achievements

At PowerHealth, Amanda has been building on the existing structure of the company including the review and formalisation of policies and procedures especially in the areas of Work Health Safety (WHS) and Human Resources (HR). Amanda has set up overseas companies in Canada, Ireland and Hong Kong , as well as supporting the existing UK and NZ entities. Amanda has set up monthly reporting to the Board, having  reviewed and reissued all employee contracts, and her HR team successfully implemented a new performance appraisal system.

Qualifications & Experience

Amanda is a CA with 25 years' experience in Finance. Starting at KPMG, Amanda has since been the Chief Financial Officer in various small to medium enterprises.
