PowerHealth Solutions has once again sponsored the National Casemix Conference held on 3-7th October in the Gold Coast, in the State of Queensland, Australia.
The conference theme this year was National Health Reform – Implementation of Activity Based Funding for Australian Public Hospitals. Delegates explored current issues affecting the health industry including national health reforms, counting and classifications, and funding and payment systems.

In anticipation of the 1st July 2012, which heralds the start of a new national approach to Activity Based Funding for Australia, hospitals have been preparing for the challenges ahead.
PowerHealth Solutions is ready to assist with these preparations for the ABF reform, through its PowerPerformance Management system, which supports frequent processing with built-in audits and data submissions, so that hospitals can easily meet the new quarterly processing and reporting requirements. The latest version of PowerPerformance Management has been fully redesigned and rewritten to boost its technology framework.

At the Casemix Conference, PowerHealth Solutions Director Patrick Power delivered a paper entitled Paying for Quality Under Activity Based Funding, that was co-authored with Dr Bill VanNess, President & CEO of Community Anderson Hospital.
