11th November 2005
Australian and New Zealand PowerHealth Solutions customers came together for a vigorous 2 days of intensive sharing of ideas and practices at the inaugural user conference held at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, on the 7th and 8th of November.
27 customers from 16 sites were the first to view version 5.0 of PowerPerformance Management, to be released in December 2005. As Dr Dave Phillips from St Andrew's Hospital (South Australia) expressed through an online support call while at the conference, I love it! I want it now!
Joanne Siviloglou from Austin Health (Victoria) expressed what most users felt, I really enjoyed the conference, meeting with other users as well as the product developers. I came away feeling very positive about the upcoming versions, especially the Reporting products.
Rodney Thackeray from Mater Health Services (Queensland) gained much from ideas shared by other users as well as the PowerHealth Solutions product experts. It was an excellent good opportunity to meet other users and discuss how they are using the system.
Patrick Horan from Auckland District Health Board (New Zealand) found it valuable to meet other users and discuss functionality details with the developers. I also liked being able to influence the prioritisation of future enhancements.
Brett Michael, PowerHealth Solutions Development Manager who is also the Reporting expert, returned from the conference with positive feedback for his team. It was great to see the users respond to the new features and functions, such as the Scheduler which will make many people’s work a lot easier to manage. The Reporting products also got a tremendous response — everyone loved the OLAP pivot tables and the Digital Dashboard.
Patrick Power, director of PowerHealth Solutions said, With a fast-growing base of users, the timing was just right for our first user conference.
I got a real buzz out of interacting with the users as a group. I also found their input very valuable for the future direction for our products.
