Victorian hospitals have unanimously chosen the South Australian product PowerPerformance Management as the best system for decision support and clinical costing.
Since the late 1980s, most Victorian hospitals had licensed Transition, a mainframe decision support system imported from the US. Today, all of the 30-plus major public metropolitan acute hospitals in Victoria are licensed to use the Australian product, PowerPerformance Management.
At Peter MacCallum, Australia's foremost cancer centre, where PowerPerformance Management has recently been implemented. Julie Brophy, Manager of the Clinical Information Unit said, We selected PPM because our market evaluation clearly identified it to be technically and functionally superior. We will be able to have timely, accurate, transparent costing data available so we can start addressing issues and getting a return on our investment.
Another recent success story is Southern Health, the largest metropolitan health service in Victoria, which implemented PowerPerformance Management 2 months ahead of schedule.

Originally backed by AusIndustry funding, PowerPerformance Management is now an export success, with sales in 4 countries.
