PowerCost Manager (PCM) continues to succeed with Australian hospitals, as the web-based patient costing and casemix reporting system enters the Queensland and New South Wales healthcare markets.
Power Solutions has recently secured a contract with a multi-hospital group in Queensland and is finalizing discussions with several New South Wales hospitals.
With over 20 Australian hospitals licensed to use PCM since its release in June 2002, PCM is proving to be an essential component of hospital Business Intelligence Systems for managing healthcare as a business.
This Australian success comes hot on the heels of a couple of recent overseas successes. 
In New Zealand, PCM has won over 3 District Health Boards with over a dozen hospitals. In the United States, PCM vanquished major US vendors to win its first US contract with NorthBay Healthcare in California.
Power Solutions Director Patrick Power said the kind of functionality provided by PCM was previously so costly only large teaching hospitals could afford them.
Our goal is to deliver business intelligence to those institutions that struggled to justify the excessively high cost to license and staff other company’s systems.
