PowerCost Manager has won the Asia-Pacific Australia ICT Award, for the ICT Health/Telemedicine category.
Recognition by APICTA distinguishes PowerCost Manager as highly innovative and cutting-edge technology. PowerCost Manager was developed in a very short timescale, has quickly been adopted by Australian hospitals.
PowerCost Manager (PCM) is a financial decision-support system, which consolidates patient costing information from diverse sources, and performs various analyses. Hospitals use PCM to identify the real cost of patient care and then consider ways of improving quality and reducing cost of care. PCM applies modern technology to provide a far better solution to a long-standing business issue, enabling many Australian hospitals access to an essential business solution they could not previously afford.
Power Solutions Dtd (PSD), the company behind the product, is an excellent example of innovation by a young, up-and-coming Australian company.
With PowerCost Manager, PSD has already participated in 2 trade missions, by invitation — one earlier this year to the UK with Trade Partners UK, and the other just recently to Central Europe (Germany, Czech Republic and Poland) with the Australian Trade Commission.
