Theokli Hotzoglou, Keynote Speaker 2008

Our keynote speaker for the 2008 PPM Conference is Theokli Hotzoglou, from Lutheran Medical Centre, NY, USA.

Background

Theokli has over 18 years hospital IT experience and holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer science.

She was project leader for a number of years before becoming Director of Information Technology and is currently the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology for Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.

Systems Experience

During the last 5 years, Theokli has managed the implementation of 2 payroll systems, a time and attendance system, a nursing scheduling system, an O/R scheduling system, an employee ID system, an H/R system, and the move to their new decision support system.

Decision Support Systems

Lutheran Medical Center

Her most recent focus in Lutheran's decision support area is the Physician Performance reporting and its impact on the bottom line.

Her team is responsible for reporting from these various systems as they support the internal users of the applications. In addition, she also manages the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upgrades of these solutions.

Theokli also manages the maintenance and support of the G/L Finance system, Purchasing and Inventory system, as well as the McKesson contract management solution.

Next Challenge

Theokli is currently keeping busy on implementing an Electronic Medical Record system.
