• Christmas Lunch — The PowerHealth Solutions Christmas party kicked off in style at the Medina Grand Adelaide Treasury with fine entrees, wines and beers to shake off the accumulated stress of the working year. Then a bit more wine and beer to make sure that the stress was well and truly gone!

  • PHS Babies — Phil Moore (baby Oliver), Simon Harding (baby Maya) and Frank La Fratta (baby Luke) are all proud new Dads. They may sometimes look sleep deprived, but they are all loving the experience.

  • Movember — Shaun Reid captained the PowerHealth Solutions team to raise $492 to help promote awareness for men’s health. He said, “As I already sported a moustache and goatee, I had to shave these for the start of Movember. It was a bit of a drag. I stuck it through and personally managed to raise over $100. Next year I plan to double it.”

  • Bowling — on the first day of spring, we sprung into action with our best bowling style. We made up 5 teams with the increased staff numbers. Tammy landed flat on her face, Shane bowled with a bright pink ball, and someone bowled backwards. Good fun was had by all.

  • Footy Tipping — Frank la Fratta ran the footy pools this year for staff and customers. Henry Wan from PMAC came 1st, winning a $200 voucher. David Musson from PHS came 2nd, winning a $75 voucher, and Nick from PHS came 3rd, winning the $25 voucher. MadJim and Oliver vied for the bottom spot, with no prize.

  • Dolphin Cruise — in March, PowerHealth and Patient Safety International competed at dolphin spotting, as we cruised down the Port River in the golden sunset, enjoying the fine weather, leisurely dinner and drinks. There was one unconfirmed sighting, bringing the score to PHS:0.5, PSI:0. However, the looping onboard video displaying hundreds of dolphins made up for the scarcity of real dolphins.

  • Australian Red Cross blood donation — Shane regularly rounds us up to donate blood regularly at the Australia Red Cross Pirie Street office. The company encourages staff donations by covering up to 1 hour of their time per visit.

  • Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal — in May, we teamed up with Patient Safety International and went doorknocking in our designated suburb of Black Forrest for the Salvation Army. The company matched every dollar collected by staff, bringing the total donation to $967.10.
