• Christmas Party — We had lunch at Esca on the Glenelg marina. Patrick had obtained some of his loyal staff members’ darkest secrets, and proceeded to reveal them one by one, giving out USB-powered prizes to people who could guess whose past was being exposed.

  • Christmas Toy Run — Evie and Theen collected new and pre-loved toys from staff, customers, family and friends, and carted them all off to the Women's and Children's Hospital Adelaide Oncology Ward, where they were joyously received. A big Thank You to all everyone who contributed towards this worthwhile project.

  • Christmas Party for Special Children — We sponsored a child to attend the Christmas Party for Special Children at the Adelaide Zoo, Sunday 7th December 2008. The children invited to this party are South Australian children with special needs, including victims of abuse, those who had a life-threatening illness, suffered a disability or were disadvantaged through circumstance.

  • Light the Night 2008 — Evie raised just under $3,000 for the Light the Night celebration event held at Elder Park, Adelaide on 17th September 2008. Thousands of people carried lighted coloured balloons to create a sea of glowing lights to remember, celebrate and give hope to patients and families living with blood cancers, such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

  • Netball — The Half PSD team is still going strong despite losing Amie. The team made it to the Grand Final and won the game by 5 goals. Well done.

  • Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal — on 1st June 2008, staff doorknocking in the Adelaide suburb of Black Forrest for the Red Shield Appeal. We collected $790.65, and the company matched every dollar collected, doubling the total donation to $1,581.30.

  • Sunset cruise — After a sweltering hot 40 C day in the middle of a heatwave, PowerHealth Solutions staff headed to Holdfast Shores Marina in Glenelg, and boarded a 58ft catamaran for a sunset cruise. There was blue sky, fresh sea breeze, finger food, birds, dolphins, happy children, conversation, good company, and ... a beautiful sunset.

  • Child sponsorship — we continue to sponsor our World Vision child — now 9 year old boy from Zambia, whose favourite game is football.

  • Casual Friday — each Friday, staff go casual and donate a gold coin towards a collection — this goes towards a different charity each quarter.
