2008 Christmas Party for Special Children
Staff are gearing up in their casual clothes on Fridays between now and Christmas, as their Casual Friday donations will to go towards sponsoring a child to attend the Christmas Party for Special Children, to be held at the Adelaide Zoo, Sunday 7th December 2008.
Light the Night 2008
Our very own Evie raised just under $3,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation's Light the Night celebration event held on 17th September 2008 in Elder Park. PowerHealth Solutions also donated the quarterly proceeds from our Casual Friday collection towards this worthy cause.
Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
On 1st June 2008, PowerHealth Solutions staff participated in the Red Shield Appeal, doorknocking in the Adelaide suburb of Black Forrest for donations. We collected $790.65, and the company matched every dollar collected, doubling the total donation to $1,581.30.
World's Greatest Shave
On 23rd March 2007, PowerHealth Solutions staff rallied to the call from The Leukaemia Foundation to join the World's Greatest Shave by shaving or colouring their hair, to raise $2,639.

Child sponsorship
PowerHealth Solutions sponsors a World Vision child — an 8 year old boy from Zambia, whose favourite game is football.
Casual Friday

Each Friday, staff go casual and donate a gold coin towards a collection — this goes towards a different charity each quarter. You can recognise participating staff not only by their jeanswear but also because they will be sporting a Jeans for Charity sticker.
Australian Red Cross blood donation
Once every quarter at our Adelaide head office, staff head towards the Australia Red Cross Pirie Street office to give blood.
Caring for the Environment

We care for the environment and actively work to minimize carbon emissions:
Electricity — we are careful to turn off lights and power to appliances not in use
Travel — our city location in Adelaide head office makes it convenient for many staff to walk to work or use the environmentally-friendly public transport system
Paper — we print on both sides of the paper before recycling, we provide electronic brochures for onscreen viewing
Recycling — we recycle whatever we can using the Adelaide City Council Recycling Service, including newspapers, cardboard, plastics, bottles, aluminum cans, etc.
Website — our website is hosted by DreamHost, who are carbon neutral.
