Child sponsorship
Every Friday, staff can go casual in jeans and donate $2 towards our World Vision sponsor child — a 6 year old boy from Zambia, whose favourite game is football.
You can recognise participating staff not only by their jeanswear but also because they will be sporting a Jeans for Charity sticker.
Australian Red Cross blood donation
Once every quarter at our Adelaide head office, Tammy organises a staff roundup and heads us all towards the Australia Red Cross Pirie Street office to give blood.
Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
PowerHealth Solutions has in some years participated in the Red Shield Appeal, with staff doorknocking for donations.
The company matches every dollar collected, to double the donation.
Caring for the Environment
We care for the environment and actively work to minimize carbon emissions:
Electricity — we are careful to turn off lights and power to appliances not in use
Travel — our city location in Adelaide head office makes it convenient for many staff to walk to work or use the environmentally-friendly public transport system
Paper — we print on both sides of the paper before recycling, we provide electronic brochures for onscreen viewing
Recycling — we recycle whatever we can using the Adelaide City Council Recycling Service, including newspapers, cardboard, plastics, bottles, aluminum cans, etc.
Website — our website is hosted by DreamHost, who are carbon neutral.
